The Central Alberta Regional Victim Serving Society (CARVSS) was established in November 2023 to deliver a spectrum of services to Victims of Crimes within Central Alberta. These services, which address the immediate need for support and practical assistance, mitigation of trauma, promotion of public safety and justice system navigation, are provided under the Victims of Crime and Public Safety Act and Regulation in partnership with the Government of Alberta and the Alberta RCMP.
Based out of Leduc, the Central Region will oversee the delivery of services from 20 RCMP Detachments that provide frontline support to victims while they navigate through the Criminal Justice System process. These detachments are located in the following communities which comprise our Service Delivery Region (SDR):
